Website and enquiries
When you visit our website, technical access data such as your IP address, time of access, pages visited and browser information are processed. These are used for secure operation and troubleshooting. The website is operated with a hosting service provider in Switzerland.
We process information from contact forms, emails and telephone calls to respond to your enquiry and to initiate or carry out assignments. This includes your contact details and the content you provide.
Telephone calls may be recorded for training and evidential purposes. Before recording, we inform you and obtain your consent where required.
Cookies and web analytics
With your consent, we use self-hosted Matomo to analyse and improve our website. We collect usage data such as traffic sources, pages visited, visit duration and interactions, along with device information and your full IP address. Cookies allow repeat visits from the same browser to be linked. Messages and contact details entered in the form are not sent to Matomo.
Analytics data are stored on our hosting in Switzerland. Individual visit data are automatically deleted after 90 days; aggregated statistics are retained. Visitor and attribution cookies last for a maximum of 90 days, and session cookies for 30 minutes. Further visits may renew their duration; we request your consent again no later than after 90 days.
We store your cookie choice for a maximum of 90 days. You can decline web analytics or withdraw your consent at any time through “Privacy settings”, with effect for the future. The website remains usable.
Recipients and retention
Data are made available to employees handling your enquiry and to the hosting, IT, email, telecommunications and service delivery providers needed for the relevant purpose. Further disclosure takes place where necessary to fulfil an assignment, at your request or as provided for by law.
We use a telecommunications provider in Switzerland for telephone services. Email communication is currently handled by a service provider based in Canada. Contact details and communication content are transmitted to that provider.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, statutory retention requirements or the protection of legal claims. The retention period stated above applies to Matomo.
Your rights
Swiss data protection law applies, together with the EU General Data Protection Regulation where applicable. Processing serves communication and contract performance, our legitimate interest in secure website operation, or is based on your consent. Where the GDPR applies, these bases are Article 6(1)(b), (f) and (a); legal obligations fall under Article 6(1)(c).
Within the scope of applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and the release or portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. You may contact a competent data protection supervisory authority; in Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
